The President is very clear on his lust for America to be ahead of the rest of the world. The rival from non-eu countries such as China with their space program, or South Korea with their high-speed Internet clearly has him spooked.
In his latest sequence of tweets, it’s become apparent that he’s quite annoyed that America is lagging behind on implementing technologies that don’t even exist.
In a widely mocked thread, Donald Trump claimed the US was lagging behind on implementing 6G engineering, already birthed with 5G which, at the best prognosis, won’t even be wheeled out until 2020 -2 022.
“I crave 5G, and even 6G, engineering in the United States as speedily as possible. It is far more powerful, faster, and smarter than the current criterion. American firms must step up their efforts, or get left behind. There is no reason that we should be lagging behind on something that is so obviously the future, ” the President wrote on Twitter.
“I require the United States to win through rival , not by stymie out currently more advanced engineerings. We must always be the chairman in everything we do, specially when it comes to the very exciting nature of these new technologies! ”
Trump, who once said “I know tech better than anyone” are all aware that 5G refers to it being the fifth generation of mobile Internet technology. It utilizes higher frequency radio wave( around 28 and 39 GHz) to carry data. These circles have higher capacity than previous cellular systems, which labor between 700 MHz and 3 GHz in the microwave band.
Because of the shorter wavelengths, the scope is lower and signals are most likely have to be be borne by many more smaller phone masts to transmit data. There’s no guarantee when full 5G will come to the US.
“All generations take years to roll out. The investment is substantial, it has to be done while keeping the older generation up and running, and requires new network infrastructure, mobile machines, application, and even applications, ” US electronics corporation Keysight Technology told Newsweek.
“Full 5G is not an aim term.”
It’s particularly unclear what 6G will even be. There are projections that 6G is likely to be wheeled out in around 2030 when 5G is no-longer adequate for our motives, with one university already working on it, but at the moment it only really exists as a notion, a combination of the amount 6 and the word G, and an admittedly very cool video.
It’s certainly not something that America is lagging behind on, because basically, it doesn’t exist.
People have of course been teasing Trump for his impatience to skip 5 and go right to 6G. It quickly escalated into a war of which is likely to crave the most Gs.
